Thank you for collaborating with us and for being here in 2020.
A year that did not turn out the way we or anyone expected but still leaves us with a great deal to be thankful for.

When I look back on 2020, I see quite a few achievements. So many actually that I cannot even begin to mention them all. However, towering above all of them is the hard work of our school’s employees. When everyone was besides themselves, they stepped up to the responsibility and helped make sure that we would all get through 2020 safe and sound.

Another achievement was the appointment of Morten Albæk as our new Chairman of the Board.
I also want to mention extra funding on the 2020 State Budget for artistic development work, which we will benefit from for another three years, as well as additional green funding for research in sustainability, which will continue in 2021. Furthermore, we have been successful in establishing new research projects and have more great projects in the pipeline.
We have entered two new partnerships with Esbjerg Municipality and Aarhus Municipality, and we are tremendously pleased at the positive attention we are receiving from our surroundings in general.
Finally, I want to mention the fact that Design School Kolding has received funding for completing a transformation of our facilities. A process which we are extremely happy and grateful to be able to set in motion as early as next year.

In 2020, with the help of existing and new collaboration partners, we have managed to continue and to start so many great initiatives that I look forward to 2021 with much confidence. Thank you to everyone who enables us to educate designers at the highest level, and thank you for helping us highlight design and the value of design in so many and also new contexts. I look forward to our collaboration in 2021.
