How do we design for people’s empowerment within healthcare industries?

Product Designer and Architect Peter Gall Krogh will talk about ethical concerns of power and freedom, and present award-winning design and IT prototypes, which enable patients to participate in their own treatment and master their chronic illness. Furthermore, he will introduce us to the academic concept of proxemics – which refers to the study of human use of space and the effects that population density has on behaviour, communication, and social interaction – to help unfold and discuss the subject of design in relation to human-computer interactions.

The speaker
Peter Gall Krogh is an academic entrepreneur. Originally trained as an architect and currently Professor in Design at Digital design & Information Studies, Aarhus University. In 2020, his latest book on design research; Drifting by Intention was published.
