The Collector by Anne Kirstine Kromand Krogh

The collection derives from an insect collector’s universe. I was fascinated by the special bond between collector and item and also the bestial way of looking upon a dead animal as a decorational object. I have worked with different ways to create an illusion of life and how to make the garments able to interact with the wearer. Experiments with the garment’s reactions to the movement of the body, colour changing textiles, and work with interference as a way to illustrate ‘life’ in the garments all led to the final pieces of the collection.
