#THEHOLYTRINITY

#THEHOLYTRINITY is a Critical Design project and an investigation of spirituality in contemporary pop culture.

The project takes shape as a proposed exhibition for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Denmark, utilizing the pop icon Beyoncé as case.
#THEHOLYTRINITY invites you to experience two roads through religiosity – an exoteric and an esoteric – an outer and an inner experience of the idol as God. Through a series of speculative objects the visitor is invited to interact with the exhibition on various levels, aiming to make the individual ponder, and generate discussion about contemporary spirituality.
#THEHOLYTRINITY is an updated interpretation of the traditional Holy Trinity. The Idol, the Experience, and You – the Fan – have substituted the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and with that in mind, #THEHOLYTRINITY invites you to exit through the gift shop; purchase the self-evaluation tool, and integrate your personal beliefs in your everyday rituals, to continue the thought process and the discussion outside the museum walls.
