Text

The settlement Ittoqqortoormiit on Greenland’s east coast – what is usually considered the back of the country – is going to be transformed into the front of Greenland. This is according to communication designerSara Brandt Kronborg, who as her graduation project has developed a strategy for sustainable tourism in the small community.

"Lonely Planet has named Greenland as one of 10 places to visit this year, and experts predict that sustainable tourism will become six times larger than traditional tourism", she says. Sara Brandt Kronborg knows Greenland culture inside out. Her mother grew up in Greenland, and she has visited every year since she was 12. She has also lived there in connection with internships and work.
