At Design School Kolding’s knitting workshop, textile students work in an experimental way to construct knitted textiles for the products of the future.

The workshop is supervised by a workshop manager with a design background who can provide support and spar with students on their projects at a high professional level.

The workshop has a large inventory of yarns sourced from manufacturers around the world, giving students an excellent basis for examining and testing various types of materials.

The knitting workshop has a number of knitting machines which are suitable for the construction of different types of knits, from a large number of classical Brother/Silvereed machines and a digital Jacquard knitting machine, the CMS 303. The workshop also has a Kettler, which is used to finish the knitted products. A laser cutter is also available.
