The future of fashion on their way

Joint fashion show at Børsen/The Royal Stock Exchange on 24 June presented Denmark’s new designers.

Danish and international fashion companies had the chance to meet burgeoning talents from Denmark’s design schools on 24 June when Børsen/The Royal Stock Exchange hosted the fashion show Future of Fashion.

- Future of Fashion is a joint show where Danish and international companies meet the new talents from the design schools. Collaboration across companies and institutions can kick-start the designers’ careers and benefit the entire industry. And of course Denmark’s reputation as a design nation; that we stand united in presenting our talents, says Betina Simonsen, Director at Innonet Lifestyle - Interior & Clothing who is responsible for the Future of Fashion event in collaboration with WEAR/ Danish Chamber of Commerce, and supported by Kopenhagen Fur and DM&T.

Fashion show and recruitment opportunity
The purpose of the fashion show is to make especially the fashion and textile industry aware of the Danish talents. Future of Fashion gives the companies a taste of what goes on in the minds of young designers and enables them to recruit directly.

The Royal Danish Academy and Design School Kolding presented their graduate fashion shows live on the catwalk and the audience could enjoy the Via University College Graduation Show 2015 Film.

- The Future of Fashion initiative strengthens the fashion industry. When companies and institutions join forces in pushing new designers forward, something magical happens. We must always be ready to match the needs of the industry and in my opinion, Future of Fashion provides an excellent framework for doing just that, says Betina Simonsen.
