Students design the office chair of the future

Textile students design proposals for the office chair of the future together with Gabriel.

Design School Kolding has collaborated with textile company Gabriel for seven weeks. And they were amazed at the high level when they came to evaluate the course on 11 June.

13 second-year textile design students were asked to design the office chair of the future. So they visited office chair users, various types of offices and finally Gabriel and office chair producer Kinnarps.

The students presented their designs to the head designer and a designer from Gabriel who picked out Trine Tronhjem and Lotte Hahn Kofoed’s achievements as extraordinary and awarded them a travel scholarship of DKK 10,000.

Gabriel also bought two patterns from two other groups.

The course focused on textile techniques, building a collection, production and not least business understanding.
