Talent show at Hotel d'Angleterre
Friday 5 February the luxurious Hotel d'Angleterre will frame Scandinavian’s most significant talent competition for Scandinavia’s most talented design students. 30 burgeoning talents will take the catwalk and present their collections, including three fashion students from Design School Kolding.
Marie Sloth Rousing, Katharina Schmalz and Kristine Blad have managed to get through the eye of the needle and land a spot in the top talent competition.
Designers’ Nest is part of the main winter fashion event in Denmark, the Copenhagen Fashion Week, with Crown Princess Mary as patron.
The three contributions from Design School Kolding are very different. IN BETWEEN is the title of Marie Sloth Rousing’s collection, which explores the interplay between clothes and spaces.
With MAT BLUR Katharina Schmalz explores the boundaries between the virtual world and the real world.
Finally, Kristine Blad interprets the brain’s perception of infinity with Defined 8.
-Marie’s project is conceptually very strong, Katharina’s collection is highly interesting in terms of fashion industry technology, and Kristine displays a distinct flair for feminine design, says Head of Fashion Design at Design School Kolding Nadine Mollenkamp, who hopes that the jury will vote in favour of one of the collections.
