Open House 2024
Meet us at this year's physical Open House events:
Saturday, February 3rd, from 12 am to 3 pm at Campus Kolding. Our current building is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation, and therefore, we have borrowed KUC's premises at Ågade 27, located in the heart of Campus Kolding - right across from Design School Kolding.
Although the school will reopen for the 2024 academic year, on that day, you can get an insight into the building's many new facilities. You can also meet the heads of programme, students, learn about bachelor's and master's programmes, admission tests, and see examples of portfolios.
Learn about the favorable opportunities for securing student housing close to the city, water, forest, and your education.
On Thursday, February 8th, from 9 am to 5 pm, we are hosting open workshops at our temporary address, Dyrehavevej 116 in Kolding. Come inside and take a look at our numerous workshops, where students work, and faculty members are ready to chat with you about our bachelor's and master's programmes.
We open the doors on February 8 at 10-16 and invite you to meet students and lecturers, experience our many workshops, and feel the welcoming atmosphere that characterises our school.
Our heads of programme will be available throughout the day to meet you and tell you about the programme and what you learn in the individual fields of study. And our study administration will be ready to assist you with any questions you might have regarding admission.
This is also your chance to become inspired regarding career opportunities.
Classes will be on as usual, so you will be able to experience first-hand how everything works.
Selected portfolios will be on display from students who have applied for and been admitted to the programme.
Throughout the day, you can join students on a tour of the house.
Welcome!

Master's Degree programme
The Master's Degree Programme
We work based on the following 5 subject areas:
- Accessory design
- Communication design
- Fashion design
- Industrial design
- Textile design
In your application you must choose the subject area in which you wish to advance and develop your design projects, as you will receive professional sparring, guidance and be challenged on your practical skills within that specific subject area.
Along with your choice of subject area, we ask you to choose between 3 thematic focus areas:
- Social design (Design for People)
- Sustainability and design (Design for Planet)
- Play and design (Design for Play)
The focus areas are a unique opportunity to link and develop your subject area and your learning to topics and industries that you are passionate about and see yourself contributing to in the future.

Application and portfolio - MA
One of the things you must submit along with your motivated application is your portfolio.
There is not one right way to make a portfolio. In fact, the very essence of a portfolio is that it is personal and reflects your story, your skills and your creative potential.
