International DesignCamp2012 Nudge

International DesignCamp2012 Nudge
The DesignCamp 2012 topic was nudging – that is designing positive behaviour – within Nutrition and Public Health, City, Society and Architecture, and Education and Play. How might we nudge customers to make healthier choices in fast food environments? How might we nudge isolated members of a community to engage with each other? Students from universities in Asia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, The Middle East and Europe teamed up with companies and public authorities to answer these and many other real-life questions focusing on ways for companies to include nudging in their products and services – to benefit the individual as well as the community – and how to equip designers to perform this work.

This publication presents student suggestions of how to address specific challenges facing companies and societies at large and offers valuable insight into the work methods of contemporary design students and design experts.
