Invitation to book launch

How do we design a society where more people can participate – and no one is left behind? On 16 April, Kolding School of Design invites you to the launch of Professor Yanki Lee’s new publication Designing AS People – Beyond Ableism, Practising Universal Design Otherwise.

The publication marks a strengthened collaboration between Kolding School of Design and the Bevica Foundation to develop and embed Universal Design. At the Bevica Foundation, Director of Research Camilla Ryhl highlights the publication’s importance for the field. She points out that the book not only explains what Universal Design is, but also presents a concrete method for working with it in practice – based on both research and Kolding School of Design’s experience with socially responsible design. According to the Bevica Foundation, the book is therefore a must-read for anyone who wants to integrate Universal Design into their own design practice.
