Take your design skills to the next level

Do you want to shape the future through design? We're accepting applications to our MA Programme

Get your Master's Degree at Kolding School of Design
Our two-year Master’s programme in design allows you to use your design skills — both aesthetic and functional — to reframe relevant challenges and create meaningful, emotionally engaging design solutions. The goal is to design new ways for people to interact, as well as to produce, consume, and engage with the world around them.

You will build on the expertise you developed during your bachelor’s degree and take it further. This happens through hands-on, practice-oriented upskilling based on the highest standards in your field. It also takes place through project work, where you will be challenged to advance the methods and techniques of your subject area by tackling real-world problems within your chosen focus area. In other words, the Master’s programme sharpens your awareness of relevance and context while simultaneously enhancing your design capabilities.

Admission 2026

Application deadline for the Master's Programme is 1 March at 12 noon (CET)

Choose your subject area and focus area

Kolding School of Design supports professional development across the following five subject areas/disciplines:

  • Accessory Design
  • Communication Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Industrial Design
  • Textile Design

Alongside your subject area, you will choose one of three thematic focus areas: Design for Play, Design for People, or Design for Planet. These focus areas offer a unique opportunity to connect and develop your subject area and learning with the topics and industries you are passionate about, and where you see yourself making an impact in the future.

Design for Play

What if play isn’t the opposite of work, but one of the most powerful tools we have for shaping meaningful design? Design for Play puts play on the agenda and educates ambassadors who can help open the eyes of the world to the value design.
