Plant Growth Kitchen of the Year

Kolding Municipality has received the Plant Award for Plant Growth Kitchen of the Year in 2022

The award is given for the work to make the municipality's public kitchens more climate-friendly.

24 of the biggest kitchens are on the journey in Kolding, including Design School Kolding's canteen, and together they feed more than 2,500 people of all age groups – from daycare centres to care homes and everything in between.

The award is a huge pat on the back for Design School Kolding's canteen staff: chef Kathrine Dissing, chef Anja Jensen, kitchen assistant Henrik Bo Rasmussen and event and service manager Mette Thrane Frandsen.

Congratulations on the recognition to all our local kitchen workers who help make a huge effort for the climate and sustainability.

The effort is part of the EU project Food2030 in Kolding.

PlanteVækst is a non-profit organization which also organises the Climate Challenge in collaboration with Able and Greenpeace.
