Kalksten med bånd til traditionerne
Peiyan Li har i samarbejde med Jingxing Cui, Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Guangzhou, skabt en række kalkstensskulpturer, der er stillet op i et multikulturelt nabolag i hendes hjemby, Guangzhou i Kina. Arbejdet med kalksten er et traditionelt håndværk i området, og skulpturerne placeres rundt omkring i byen for at minde os om at bevare kontakten til nærsamfundet, det traditionelle og det bæredygtige.

Limestone with a link to tradition
In a collaboration with Jingxing Cui, Inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage, in Guangzhou, Chine, Peiyan Li has created a series of lime sculptures that have been placed in a multicultural neighbourhood in her hometown of Guangzhou. Limestone carving is a traditional craft in the area, and the sculptures are put on display in locations around the city to remind us to preserve our link to community, tradition and sustainability.
