Halftime panic

Today was the first springlike day in Kolding and the early crocuses popped out of the grass. People were on the streets with bags and baggage and some brave ones even started the barbecue season. I was not part of it. I'm just part of something much bigger, which is an absolute priority: My Master in Fashion Design! Thus, I had to stay indoors and dutifully finish my written work on the computer - or at least try to get it done. And, by the way, quickly finish the sketches for my collection. Oh, and on Wednesday (the 12th) is the first fitting! Stress? No trace! At least I have all the good qualities that an honest German should have: Diligence, punctuality, efficiency and careerism. My genetic material therefore forces me to spend the sunny Sunday at Design School Kolding (no educational pressure at all, as you can see).

To be honest, I really can't complain, because it is going well! I am satisfied with my designs and the written assignment was more exciting than nerve-racking. I even feel like I'm good in time ... if only this calendar wouldn't be hanging on the board on my right. It shows the truth: Halftime is approaching! And, hey presto, there it comes, the first small - but mighty - panic attack: Will I make it? Am I good enough? Will mom and dad be proud of me? And how the hell am I going to pay for it all? Will I have any money left to buy food or should I plan a three month diet, on top of it all? (Hey, another good side of being a Design student is that I'm living a lush life off nothing but mere air and love when a deadline is near).

Okay, let's pull out my pen and simply eliminate all sorts of recreational activities from the calenda, including my birthday party in May. The 25th is overrated anyway! And who needs sunlight when you can make a beautiful evening in the glow of a light bulb?

Hah, I feel better already now that I've scribbled my calendar and pinned up motivation scrips to my board! Maybe I'll get it done well, the Master!
