A little merchandise

During the last couple of weeks I have developed a print and an idea for a piece of merchandise / promotional product for the school. The merchandise is to be used to promote a new joint fashion programme between Design School Kolding and Tongji University in China, which the schools plan to start next year.

The requirements for the product were: Easy to construct and should be able to be developed and printed in a short time. The product should have a clean, Nordic look and signal innovation, sustainability, business and of course fashion. The expression will also be translated into additional products like posters, postcards and a brochure.

In this blogpost you can see my development of the idea and expression to the final promotional product. The final product is a headphone cover which is shaped like a little pocket. The print refers to the traditional checkered shirtpattern, but in a new look. This element is brought into the graphic work, and will be the starting point for the setup of this.
