Afgangsprojekt by Josephine Lund

Projektet tager udgangspunkt i det tidligere Aarhus Amtssygehus, som i fremtiden bliver en ny bydel med park, beboelse og erhverv med parken som samlingspunkt. Formålet med designet er at skabe en oplevelse af at ligge i parkens vandløb. En oplevelse, der fordrer til afslapning og fordybelse – og en modsætning til det sædvanlige byliv i højt tempo. Stedet er unikt, hvorfor projektet med dets former tager udgangspunkt i Amtssygehusets historie, mens materialets cirkularitet sikrer, at projektet ikke går på kompromis med fremtiden.

The project takes its point of departure in the former Aarhus County Hospital, which in the future will become a new city district with a park, housing and businesses and with the park as its focal point. The purpose of the design is to create an experience of floating in the stream that traverses the park – an experience that calls for relaxation and contemplation and is a contrast to the regular fast-paced city life. The location is unique, which is why the project in its form is based on the history of the old County Hospital, while the circularity of the materials prevents the project from compromising with the future.
