Afgangsprojekt by Amalie Thrysøe

Med udgangspunkt i den klassiske og funktionelle arbejdsjakke har designeren arbejdet med kunstnerisk upcycling og dekoration som et oprørsk formidlings-værktøj til at zoome ind på danske hjemmehørende arter som fremmer biodiversiteten. Særligt den vilde ‘blåhat’-flora (Knautia Arvensis) tiltrækker et mangfoldigt artsliv, og rummer truede insekter som er direkte afhængige af netop denne. Med titlen ‘ORNAMENT IS RIOT’ forsøger designeren at fremelske en anerkendelse af dekoration og omsorg for floraen. Som naturen bør sættes fri, ønsker designeren at sætte jakkerne fri på byggepladsen, bybilledet og i baghaven. 

Based on the classic and functional work jacket, the designer has worked with artistic upcycling and decoration as a rebellious communication tool to zoom in on Danish native species that promote biodiversity. In particular, the wild 'blue hat' flora (Knautia Arvensis) attracts diverse wildlife and harbors endangered insects that are directly dependent on it. With the title 'ORNAMENT IS RIOT,' the designer aims to foster an appreciation for decoration and care for the flora. Just as nature should be set free, the designer wants to set the jackets free on construction sites, in the cityscape, and in the backyard.
