Sustainability and Beethoven
Textile designer Anaïs Dahl Perret has used a knitting machine as a musical instrument in one of her many design experiments with printing and knitting. In a process of knitting and painting intuitively to the notes of Beethoven’s 32 Variations in pianist Elisabeth Holmegaard Nielsen’s musical interpretation, she creates enduring fashion, as sustainability is also about fascinating textiles that the user forms an emotional attachment to.
