 Simone Olivia Bakke vil gentænke modeindustrien med digital teknologi – ikke ved at markedsføre modetøj digitalt eller opgradere digitale teknologier i beklædningsindustrien, men ved at foreslå fremtidens prøverum, hvor designere og forbrugere kan teste et produkt grundigere inden det produceres, og potentielt eliminere unødvendig brug af ressourcer. Med ’SKIN WEAR’ fusioneres viden og teknologier fra 4 brancher: mode, 3D, gaming og VR for at undersøge, hvordan nye digitale teknologier kan bidrage til en bæredygtig omstilling af modeindustrien.

The digital changing room of tomorrow
Simone Olivia Bakke uses digital technology to rethink the fashion industry; not by marketing fashion digitally or upgrading digital manufacturing technologies but with a future changing room where designers and consumers can test a product more thoroughly before it is made and thus potentially eliminate unnecessary use of resources. ‘SKIN WEAR’ merges knowledge and technology from four industries – fashion, 3D, gaming and VR – in an effort to explore how new digital technology can contribute to a sustainable transformation of the fashion industry.
