Text
For her graduation project Trine Stenmann Jensen has created a collection of menswear inspired by architectural photographs. The photographs were taken by the artist couple Bernd and Hilda Becker and depict German industrial buildings. The fashion designer talks about the connection between architecture and clothing: ”Both architecture and clothing relate and react to the body's movement and function.
They also have the same functional and practical purposes: to protect the human body. In addition both clothing and architecture give us the opportunity to express our personal, social and cultural identity through the rooms in which we live and the clothes we wear.”
