HVORFOR? Rygning har haft en kæmpe indflydelse på samfund og kulturer globalt set og påvirker stadig, hvordan vi interagerer med hinanden. Matias Carbone så i dette fænomen en mulighed for at undersøge alternative veje til at skabe en fremtid, hvor vi er mere socialt forbundne.
WHAT? An exploration of how objects influence the social dynamics between smokers and non-smokers.
HOW? With a speculative and critical approach and the eye of a play designer, Matias Carbone has explored how objects shape behavior. The process has been iterative and cross-disciplinary and has involved abductive thinking, scenario creation, bodystorming, storyboarding, autoethnographic research, empathic tools, co-creation workshops and prototyping.
WHY? Smoking practices have had a profound impact in our society and culture globally and keeps affecting how we interact even today. Matias Carbone saw this phenomenon as an opportunity to explore alternative ways in which we could transition towards a more socially connected future.
