Design School Kolding gets whistleblowing scheme
The school wants to have an open culture where everyone feels they are able to come forward if they suspect irregularities, illegalities or acts of discrimination, violence or harassment.
Over the years the school has seen very few such cases, but we want to do everything in our power to ensure openness and transparency. 1 November 2020, it became mandatory for all ministries and government agencies to introduce a whistleblowing scheme. However the scheme at Design School Kolding is a voluntary choice.
- The whistleblowing scheme supplements our day-to-day direct communication, which enables possible problemtic cases to be solved via the traditional formal channels. For our staff this means contacting their immediate manager, trade union representative or our rector. Students should contact their head of programme or the head of education. If for some reason an employee or a student doesn't feel comfortable using the conventional channels of communication or feel they are not able to get their point across, the whistleblowing scheme can be a good alternative, says Prorector Lone Dalsgaard André.
The whistleblowing scheme will become active by the end of March 2021 and will run in an external and closed IT system. If you want to be absolutely sure to stay anonymous, do not access the system from a computer at school and do not log into Design School Kolding's network in connection with the report.
