Are you a student, researcher, or employee at Designskolen Kolding?
The Design Manual for Designskolen Kolding should be seen as a tool for those who wish to use the school's logo and for those who create communication with Designskolen Kolding as the sender. A design manual is important to ensure that Designskolen Kolding presents a coherent and credible image.
Designskolen Kolding's design manual differs from others by not being 100% rule-based in terms of visual identity. This allows room for experimentation and new thinking—something the school stands for. In this way, Designskolen Kolding achieves a constantly updated design appearance and puts action behind the words:
- Innovation
- Flexibility
- Experimentation
- Thought

News and invitations
At the Media Workshop, we send out newsletters and invitations related to events and exhibitions. Our primary external newsletter is sent to a broad audience that has signed up to receive updates from the school. The external newsletter can also be targeted to smaller audiences such as 'continuing education' and 'alumni.'
Our internal newsletter is sent to all employees and provides an opportunity to learn more about what is happening in the various departments. You are always very welcome to contact us if you have a good story you would like to share with your colleagues.

Consent form
The publication of photos on the internet featuring recognizable individuals is considered a processing of personal data. This applies regardless of whether the photo is accompanied by text identifying the person. A photo with recognizable/identifiable individuals thus constitutes information about these persons.
Therefore, the data protection regulations must be met for such processing (publication of the photo) to be legally conducted. This means that before you publish the photo, you must have a basis for doing so, and you must ensure that the person or persons in the photo are aware that you intend to publish the photo on the internet, giving them the opportunity to respond, such as by objecting to it. In this situation, you are the data controller, and the person(s) in the photo you wish to publish are the data subject(s).
A verbal consent from the person(s) in question is technically sufficient but can be difficult to prove. To be on the safe side, you can download a consent form and obtain a signature from the person(s) in question. Remember, consent can be withdrawn at any time.
