Background
Craft, materials, and sustainability – a knitwear collection and an invitation to rethink

Knitted traces of becoming

In an era of overproduction and fast fashion, this project explores how craft-based textile techniques can shift our perception of quality and value. Through smocking, mono-materiality, and a deliberate choice of recycled materials, a knitwear collection is created that bears visible traces of its making.

A conversation at eye level with materials, a negotiation through technique, and an emphasis on the importance of listening to tacit knowledge.

Developd in collaboration with Skals Højskole’s ‘Tekstil Omtanke’ project and presented in this context.
