About the Project
Fashion futures: from material consumption to material ecology
What if human bodies can be the ecosystem to grow and fabricate responsive wearables in one system?
Inspired by the intelligent behaviors of slime mold (Physarum Polycephalum), this ongoing speculative research project investigates a potential new fabrication system for bio-responsive wearables that are self healing, self growing and self adapting. It reflects on interspecies communication and collaboration between humans and non-human kins to propose future symbiotic cohabitation.
