Form experiments disguised as ice cream

BA course: ‘Model and Material’ – Form experiments disguised as ice cream, Accessory Design and Industrial Design – Bachelor, 1st Year
Background

As part of this course, students explore form through hands-on experimentation in the Fine Craft Studio.

Rasmus Vejlgaard Skeem’s ice is inspired by door handles and explores the transition from simplicity to complexity.

Carl Theodor R. Andreasen’s piece draws on the Apple Magic Mouse, examining the dynamics of hollowing.

Tuva Opdal’s ice is based on the image of a melting lolly and plays with symmetry, inviting diagonal and horizontal rotation.

Sidsel Hester Schmidt’s sculpture takes inspiration from the cylinder head of a Puch Maxi moped, contrasting its heavy industrial form with the softness of ice.

Mia Bayer's ice cream is inspired by the top piece of a cylinder from a Puch Maxi, where the characteristic cooling fins are manipulated into a softer shape, mirrored symmetrically.

Kaya Lucy Widmer’s design blends a computer mouse with a twin-stick ice cream, creating a fluid transition between two geometric forms.
