Danish partnership aims to recycle overlooked textile category

Carpets and upholstery textiles from environments such as ships and hotels hold significant recycling potential that is not fully utilised today. A Danish partnership – including Kolding School of Design – aims to change that.

Science Week 21 April: Build, listen and unwind at Kolding School of Design

What do clowns have to do with design? Can you build a chain reaction? What does play look like to you? Science Week Denmark opens the doors to research across the country. At Kolding School of Design, it becomes a day where design research takes centre stage through workshops, talks, guided tours and installations—inviting curious visitors to explore a field working at the intersection of people, materials and society.

Students nominate two lecturers for the 2026 Teaching Award

Two lecturers from Kolding School of Design have been nominated for the 2026 Teaching Award following strong recommendations from their students. The nominees are Solveig Gubser, put forward by students from the Accessory Design programme, and Brian Jørgensen, nominated by students from Communication Design.
