What inspires me? I find inspiration for food everywhere: online, during a conversation, in a picture, a magazine, a walk, a piece of music. I believe that if you have an open mind, you can find inspiration everywhere.
What am I professionally interested in at the moment? I am so fortunate that my job is to combine food and design. Together with Design to innovate I am currently organising a 6-day introduction about how to use design in the kitchen. We work with design methods, ideation, new methods in cooking, nudging and much, much more.
My dream assignment. Why? Everything I do. I am challenged on a daily basis and I love it! We don't just cook. We also work with the concept of design when we cook - especially when we entertain conference guests. It's super fun that we don't just make food; the food also needs to make sense, create awareness and link to the subjects that we teach here at the school. I love developing concepts and finding the right connection between food and design so it makes sense to our visitors. I love being in the open where there are no limits and anything is possible. It's great to be able to cook healthy and inspiring meals for our students. There's never a dull moment.
Why did I choose Design School Kolding? Actually it's been a dream of mine since I was very young. The creative environment appeals to me. So when I was asked to apply for a position here, I didn't think twice. And I've never regretted it.
What is Danish Design? Dansk Design to me is the great idea and the ability to pursue it. Using design methods to solve problems is fantastic. I often witness how impressed our visitors are by how design methods can provide a whole new angle for solving their problems.
