Background
Speculative design is a powerful tool for exploring future scenarios and tackling complex challenges. In this course, students use speculative design to engage with themes such as sustainability, social cohesion, and the impact of technology on the design industry. The interdisciplinary exercise challenges them to transform a future scenario into a visionary concept, using digital tools to create prototypes.
Ailoi Crew – consisting of Amalie Karoline Tvedergaard Grosen, Agnes Dahl, Ida Camille Barnak og Oline Nielsen – developed a ”sensory jacket” for a future in which nature is off-limits to humans for 100 years. While nature regenerates, humans must find new ways to experience its sensory richness through design and technology.
