Catwalk debut at Copenhagen Fashion Week

During Copenhagen Fashion Week, 20 newly graduated designers from Kolding School of Design marked the end of their studies – and made a promising mark on the future of fashion.
By Marianne Baggesen Hilger

On Tuesday 5 August, the 20 new fashion designers from Kolding School of Design took to the runway for the very first time as professionals.

With the show New in Town, they presented to Copenhagen Fashion Week – and the wider fashion industry – their personal and experimental visions of what fashion can be.

From playful explorations of material and form to bold interpretations of contemporary themes, the collections offered everything from the daring to the poetic. The audience was treated to an event of creativity, courage and fresh perspectives – and a glimpse of what the next generation of designers will bring to both Denmark and the wider world.

We send our warmest congratulations to our graduates, and our thanks to Bryghuset Møn and Flyt KBH for helping to make the show possible – and to everyone who came to celebrate these new talents with us.
