Lene Tanggaard joins the board of the Danish Design Center
The Danish Design Center has appointed its new board of directors. Rector of Design School Kolding, Lene Tanggaard, is among its seven members, who represent a broad spectrum of business, including design, digitalisation and green transition.
- Denmark has a long and proud tradition when it comes to design and design-based solutions. We need to build on this and distribute design to benefit our companies. Danish Design Center contributes with a national, unifying and powerful effort, which shows the difference design and design thinking can make, and which positions design at eye-level enabling companies to apply it strategically to develop their business and make the most of their potential for digitalisation, innocation, green transition and much more, says Simon Kollerup, Danish Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.
Huge potential
Chairman of the board of directors will be Camilla Haustrup Hermansen. Camilla Haustrup Hermansen is CEO and co-owner of Danish production company Plus Pack. She looks forward to working with the Danish Design Center and highligting the role of design in connection with the green transition towards 2030.
- Companies can use design and design thinking to develop new sustainable business models, products and solutions to help support climate efforts globally. Design and digitalisation must walk hand-in-hand when it comes to developing and implementing new, circular business models and systems that can reduce Denmark’s carbon footprint, and the potential is huge, Camilla Haustrup Hermansen says.
