The competition is organised and sponsored by the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and is for Chinese students only. The purpose of the competition is to promote experimental design and explore the relationship between human behavior and design. The theme of this year’s competition is ”action sitting”. This year’s ”Design for Sitting” is part of a large-scale government project called ”Visual Beijing” that serves to develop Chinese design.
