LOOK TOWARDS DESIGN

Do you want to apply to Design School Kolding – or do you know someone who might? Then keep on reading!
By Marianne Baggesen Hilger

You only need to look at your screen to become part of this year’s OPEN HOUSE EVENT at Design School Kolding.

Tune in Tuesday 9 February at 14.00 (CET). Via the Facebook event you can follow the event live and chat with us before, during and after the show.

What’s the story?
We guarantee you’ll be in good company with our heads of programme, teachers and students during the two-hour event, which we will be streaming live from Design School Kolding. Together with Rector of Design School Kolding, Professor Lene Tanggaard, they’ll let you in on all you need to know about our Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes. Join us in the workshops, learn how we work and teach, learn about life in and outside the school and the very special atmosphere of the place.

Design as career path
We will also introduce you to two former students of ours: the prize-winning duo Ditte Marie Fog and Julia Sand who launched their own company based on their graduation project.

The Bachelor’s Programme
Design School Kolding offers a three-year undergraduate programme. We look into the crafts and the study programmes, which are Industrial Design, Communication Design, Accessory Design as well as Fashion and Textile Design. Please note the Bachelor’s Programme is in Danish and requires Danish language skills.

The Master’s Programme
You can also learn about our unique two-year Master’s Programme that builds on the disciplines of the Bachelor’s Programme and consists of three interdisciplinary study programmes. If you’re committed to becoming a play designer trained in the world’s first Master’s Programme in Design for Play, Design School Kolding is the place for you. For 20 years we have researched and taught sustainability, and in the Design for Planet programme you learn to design in the interplay between climate and aesthetics. The third study programme of the Master’s Programme is called Design for People and focuses on people’s needs and behaviour.
