Looking back: Emerging designers made their mark at 3daysofdesign
The exhibition brought together projects addressing everything from bacterial dyes, biomaterials and circular production to communities, wellbeing, technology and new ways of understanding our relationship with resources. Visitors were able to experience not only finished outcomes, but also prototypes, material experiments and the investigative design processes behind the projects.
Many of the projects were developed in collaboration with companies, organisations and other external partners. What they shared was a curious and exploratory approach to how design can offer new perspectives and open up new possibilities in a complex world.
We are proud to have once again been part of 3daysofdesign and to have presented the work of our emerging designers in an international setting. This year’s festival featured 572 exhibitions with participants from 37 countries, as well as 894 events across Copenhagen. More than 125,000 visitors from 140 countries attended the festival.
These figures reflect a festival that succeeds in opening the doors to the world of design and creating encounters between people, disciplines and ideas across national borders. Thank you to everyone who visited Moments of Meaning, explored the projects and took part in the conversations.
The exhibition was supported by the Augustinus Foundation, Den Faberske Fond and the Municipality of Kolding.
