Student project
A meaningful leisure space
Background
A spatial design for children and adults in an institutional setting.
A meaningful leisure space
How can textile expertise and material understanding support wellbeing in a shared space for children and adults in an after-school care setting?
This project explores how colour, material, and surface can interact to transform the shared space in the after-school care programme at Skanderborg Realskole. Through analysis, user involvement, systematic colour experiments, and material understanding, the project works to create an atmosphere that supports structure, ownership, and community for 35 children and their pedagogues.
