From scrap wood to designer furniture
As a tangible outcome of his material development, Hector Grundtdal Grønborg has designed an underframe for a dining table in heat-treated pinewood with an appurtenant tabletop made of shredded oak mixed with charcoal and sawdust and a biodegradable binder. The project identifies two alternative methods for recycling wood and demonstrates that recycled wood can be turned into quality furniture.
