Hestens Væsen
The horse differs from other animals in being neither a pet, a wild animal, nor a farm animal – it holds a special place among humans and represents something unpredictable, playful, and curious, but also something calm, serious, and powerful. Through working with animal materials, gradations, light, darkness, texture, and scale, I have sought to create material stories that express the nature of the horse. The project invites us to see humanity’s place in the world in interaction with the other living beings we share the planet with.
