People, Materials, and Architecture

In this project, the designer has conducted a theoretical and material-driven investigation into the relationship between materials in architecture and our experience of resonance and connectedness. The designer is motivated to highlight how the textile designer’s competencies in materials, atmospheres, and narratives are relevant within the intersection of design and architecture. The project is divided into three parts: a theoretical focus, the creation of an archive of site-specific experiential analyses, and a series of material-driven explorations of selected natural materials in the workshops.
