Become a designer

If your dream is to become a designer, now is your chance. On 1 February, Kolding School of Design will start reviewing applications for the BA programme. Deadline for applications is Tuesday 15 March at 12 noon.
Deadline for applications to the MA programme is 1 May at 12 noon.

Who applies?
In order to learn more about who applies to the school and why, Kolding School of Design has conducted a survey among the students who commenced their studies in 2015. The survey looks at the students’ priorities and educational choices, including Kolding as a university city. From the BA programme, 83 students were invited to participate and from the MA programme the number was 20. Not all Lone Dalsgaard André, Head of Education at Kolding School of Design, sums up:

-There are many reasons why the students choose Kolding School of Design, but fundamentally, it is a positive choice. This applies to the BA and MA programmes both. 85% of the BA students had Kolding School of Design as their first priority, and 68% of the MA students.

When you look at how the students have come to know about the school, 21 of the 51 BA students who decided to participate in the survey, have learned about the school from their respective folk high schools. Most of the 20 MA students have found information on the Internet or via social media as well as the DOMUS Magazine annual guide to Europe’s leading design schools. Generally, the students are pleased with Kolding as a university city.
