Coping with Complexity

The project explores complexity in electronics from the perspective of both the end-user and designer. Product complexity can cause confusion for users, shorten product lifespan, complicate recycling and increase cost and development time for designers. The exploration of this complexity is done through the development of a theoretical model named the “Complexity Compass” and a case project of an air purifier to showcase its use.
