Craftsmanship as a method

This project explores how a craft-based approach to furniture design can counter overconsumption and extend product lifespans. Through an iterative process of material experiments and hands-on craftsmanship, a dining chair was developed. The backrest is designed to challenge the viewer’s expectations and symbolically break with tradition. The goal is to promote durability by building stronger emotional and aesthetic connections between user and object as a counterpoint to today’s throwaway culture.
