Liminal Utopias

Liminal Utopias explores queer futurity as an alternative to dominant dystopian visions of the future. Through design fiction, utopian thinking, and social dreaming workshops, the project invites queer people to collectively imagine preferable futures. The outcomes include a framework for utopian worldbuilding workshops and speculative garments inspired by shared values and dreams. Using vivid colours, psychedelic nature patterns, and fluid body forms, the garments translate abstract visions of alternative ways of living into tangible expressions of queer futurism.
