Portable Sense of Home

Portable Sense of Home explores how design can support a sense of home in small and temporary student housing shaped by Copenhagen’s housing crisis. Developed through interviews, co-creation and co-design with students, the project resulted in a stackable and portable table lamp that can be combined into a larger floor lamp. Through warm lighting, tactile materials and a sculptural wooden form, the design explores how flexible lighting can create comfort, atmosphere and a sense of belonging across changing living situations.
