Size is a Spectrum
Background
Designing for the fluctuating body through size adjustability and upcycling.
Size is a Spectrum
This project explores adjustable womenswear in response to a shared need to unbutton trousers at certain times of the day. The series of trousers is partially made from upcycled materials. Discarded garments are reimagined as pieces that adapt to fluctuating bodies. Adjustability is both a functional and visual part of each design. The aesthetic draws on silver hardware, worn textures, and raw materiality. The project aims to increase garment longevity and discourage overconsumption.
