The Armor We Wear
Background
“The Armour We Wear” is a knitwear collection exploring softness as strength. Through layered, delicate textiles and contrasting color palettes, the project reimagines armour not as something hard and impenetrable, but as something emotional, intimate, and expressive
The Armor We Wear
Working with digital knitting techniques like intarsia and fully fashioned knitting, Svanhildur uses knit as a medium for storytelling reflecting on identity, vulnerability, and protection in a world that often values conformity over feeling. Each piece invites the wearer to move between layers of self from structured outer shells to soft inner truths offering a quiet resistance through visibility, presence, and play.
