Rethinking local materials by Marie Louise Junker Jakobsen, Iben Cecilie Buch Nielsen, Julie Fløjgaard Skerning and Nina Dupont Lehtinen

Our project explores the potential of local Danish materials — reed, willow, and pine. By rethinking traditional perceptions, we aim to create new narratives around these underused resources. Through design, we seek to highlight their cultural and sustainable value, promoting more responsible production rooted in Denmark’s natural and historical context.
