About the project
This project was an exploration of the possibility of using food waste as raw material, since materials have the bigger carbon print in a product’s life.
It is also a reflection on toys and the materials they are made of. We are children for a limited amount of time, so why should our toys outlive this period?
The final outcome is Alma, a biodegradable toy with seeds inside, so that when it biodegrades, a new life begins.
This project was a cross collaboration between Lucía Valverde, from Design for Planet, and Miguel Felipe García, from Design for Play.
