Between 2021 and 2024, staff members from Kolding School of Design together with student assistants taught school teachers and their pupils in grades 4–6 at public and independent schools in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality. The teachers were first introduced to design thinking and selected design methods from the Future Teaching in Europe (FUTE) project, which they later applied in their teaching of craft and design.

The project involved inspiring neighbours, family, friends, volunteers – i.e. unpaid players – and equipping them to take responsibility for their fellow citizens, so that their social relationships were not solely the responsibility of the state, represented by the employees of Skansebakken.
